An exquisite antique Victorian locket and collar made by Birmingham jewellers, Robinson & McKewan in the late 19th Century. The entire piece is crafted in sterling silver and has developed a silky-smooth surface with age.
The large locket is suspended from a secure bolt ring clasp and is decorated with a meadow of three-leaf clovers across the front, with two windows within to house beloved family photographs.
The extravagant collar consists of chunky, open-work links that articulate fluidly and are decorated with chased foliate patterning across the front.
It’s an exemplary piece of Victorian craftsmanship and is complete with Birmingham hallmarks on the reverse which date it to 1880.
