Sunstone is actually a part of the Feldspar Family as is Moonstone  in one of those beautiful balancing acts of nature. The sparkles are caused by flakes of Hematite or Limonite. Whereas Moonstone is more introspective and sensitive, Sunstone is a marvelous Leo Stone. Positive optimistic and outgoing because one wants to share the Joy this stone creates. That same positive energy dispels negativity.
